The NLU library databases are only accessible from within MY.NL.EDU - NLU PORTAL (Luminis)

If you are trying to access the NLU Library page using Internet Explorer (IE) on the Mac you might get this page in error. This is a known issue in IE on the Macintosh which will probably never be resolved, as IE development has halted. Please retry accessing the NLU library page from within Luminis or WebCT using Mozilla, Netscape, or Safari instead.

• Clear your cookies
• Make sure your browser accepts third party cookies.
  You can enable third party cookies in IE with the following steps:
  1. Menu option "Tools"
  2. Click on "Internet Options"
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab
  4. Click on the "Advanced" button
  5. Check both check boxes
  6. Select "Accept" under First Party Cookies
  7. Select "Accept" under Third Party Cookies
  8. Click "OK" twice.
• Disable any cookie blocker and any toolbars (Google, Yahoo) you might have installed
• Add the following URL to your trusted sites "http://serverlp1.nl.edu"
  to add a site to your trusted sites in IE complete the following steps:
  1. Menu option "Tools"
  2. Click on "Internet Options"
  3. Select the "Security" tab
  4. Click on the "Trusted Sites" icon
  5. Click on the "Sites" button
  6. Un-check the checkbox
  7. Type http://serverlp1.nl.edu in the address box and click add
  8. Click "OK" twice.

Make sure to inform them of the following, and have them log it in the support request:

• Browser (Click on "Help" in your browsers toolbar, then select "About")
• Operating System and version
• On or Off Campus access?
• If off campus, which ISP (Internet Service Provider) do you use?
• Any toolbars or cookie blockers installed?
• Tried to access Library through Luminis?
• Your email address or Luminis Userid or a phone number where we can reach you.
